Promotion of Izmir Book Fair

I saw these guys resting across Konak Pier. They ride their bikes to promote 15th Izmir Book Fair, which will be organised between 17-25 April. In fact this is the first time I see such a way of promotion but I like it, really.

Theme Day: Red

On 13th of May 2007, a few millions Turks have rallied in the city of Izmir to protest against any government plans to undermine Turkish secularism. Turkish flags of demonstrators created a full red scene .

I was proudly there to support secularism in Great Izmir Rally. It was a historical day and it was the largest crowd that I had ever witnessed. As we, the sons and daughters of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, stand on this land, the pro-islamist nonsecular governments and groups will never succeed. Turkey is and will always be secular!
